Kepler Aerospace Ltd. (“Kepler”) announced today that CPT Scott J. Winder is joining the Kepler and Kepler SpaceCore Inc. (“KSC”) team as an advisor for the development of Kepler’s B777 training and FAA certification programs and will also be joining the Advisory Board of Kepler Aerospace and Kepler SpaceCore.
September 4, 2020 – Midland, Texas – Kepler announces that Captain Scott Winder will be joining the Kepler and Kepler SpaceCore team as an advisor for all matters regarding the development of Kepler’s B777 training and FAA Certification programs, as well as an Advisory Board Member of both Kepler Aerospace and Kepler SpaceCore.
Scott Winder is currently responsible for developing, standardizing and coordinating the curriculum for the B777 fleet at American Airlines. He is also a member of the Check Airman Professional Standards Committee. Captain Winder has been with American Airlines from 1989 until today. He is a Check Airman on the B777 and B767/B757 and is type rated on the B777, B767, B757, B737, B727, and the MD-11 aircraft. He was also the Miami Base Chief Pilot and Pilot Recruiter in 2010 and 2011. Scott was a member of the Michigan Air National Guard from 1985 until 1993 and flew the T-37, the T-38, the A-37 and the A-10. He was presented with the Major General Willard W. Millikan Honor Graduate Award and was first in his commissioning class. He is also a USAF Joint Firepower Control Honor Graduate and was also first in this class. Mr. Winder was an Air Operations Officer for Grayling Air to Ground Range and was responsible for scheduling and administration of the airspace, range operations and enlisted personnel.
Captain Winder has flown to every International destination that American Airlines has. He has also flown to all of American Airlines destinations in South America, China, the Far East and Europe for the larger part of his career giving him an in-depth appreciation of the operational considerations of this type of operation. He is currently responsible for developing, standardizing and coordinating the curriculum for the B777 fleet at American Airlines.
Kepler and Kepler SpaceCore are elated to have another superstar like CPT Scott Winder join the Kepler team. Kepler believes that his extensive aviation career, including management, pilot experience, and pilot training skills will be a great boost in establishing Kepler’s B777 program. Captain Winder will be overseeing Kepler’s B777 program, FAA Certification and training out of Dallas, Texas.
