Kepler Aerospace Ltd. (“Kepler”) announces today that CPT Brian Vitale is joining the Kepler and Kepler SpaceCore Inc. (“KSC”) team as an advisor for all matters regarding aviation and will also be joining the Advisory Board of Kepler Aerospace and Kepler SpaceCore.
Captain Vitale has a decorated aviation career going back to the early 1980’s. He started as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Army and obtaining an FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic license in November 1981. Vitale attended college at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where Vitale made the Dean’s list on numerus semesters. He earned an associate in science in aircraft maintenance in December 1985 and a bachelor of professional aeronautics in April 1986.
Vitale moved to the pilot’s seat in 1986 and took on an instructor’s role in the 1987. He achieved his Captain’s status in 1989 with Midway Airlines. He was also qualified by the US Army as a Pilot with the UH-1 and UH-60 aircraft and also as a Safety Officer at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Vitale was awarded the Outstanding Guardsman Award for the state of Illinois in 1994.
He joined American Airlines in 1991 and then became Captain on the F100, B737, A320, and B767 aircraft. CPT Vitale is Type Rated on the Do228, F100, B737, B757, B767, B777, A310 and A320 aircraft. Vitale participated in the American Airlines Quality Assurance Line Observations program for the A300 fleet. In 2018 he received his Rotorcraft Helicopter Flight Instructor with R44 endorsement. He also has his Rotorcraft Helicopter Airline Transport Pilot’s license and his Rotorcraft Helicopter Instrument Instructor rating. In addition he has obtained an FAA Remote Pilot license.
Kepler and Kepler SpaceCore are elated to have a superstar like CPT Brian Vitale join the Kepler team. Kepler believes that his extensive aviation career, including management, quality assurance, safety, pilot, and pilot training skills will fill any gaps not covered presently by the Kepler team. Captain Vitale will be overseeing Kepler’s flight operations out of Kepler’s Spaceport and Aviation facilities in Midland, Texas to ensure top-class performance for all of its clients
